The one nice thing about this cleanse is that you can eat food.  It’s not really designed for weight loss, but more to detox your organs through eating/drinking clean and minimally processed foods.  Sounds great right now, but as I write this I’m only 6 hours in.  We’ll see what 7pm brings.

My favorite place for brunch is HoneyPie.  On their last seasonal menu, they had a tofu scramble in a tortilla called The Contender.  This is my attempt to recreate the tofu scramble that resided inside the tortilla.

Quinoa is a versatile ingredient.  I typically use it in lunch salads or dinner sides, but it’s great for breakfast too. The health benefits are abundant.  Quinoa is high in protein and a good choice for veg*ns concerned about adequate protein intake.  Quinoa is also a good source of magnesium, folate, phosphorus, and riboflavin.
